Though there are lots of businesses that don’t bother to stop using those traditional incandescent light bulbs, replacing them with LEDs can bring a multitude of benefits not only to the user but to the environment as well. The emergence of LEDs has opened up a new era of exterior signage illumination. The importance of perfectly illuminated exterior signage simply cannot be overlooked. In today’s competitive landscape, it has been observed that the outdated signage of a business usually tends to underperform and produces just a fraction of the true potential of exterior signage. On the other hand, an LED retrofit brings a business an array of advantages that cannot be offered by any other signage solution. On top of that, when everyone is trying to do his/her part to make the world a little greener, an LED retrofit helps a business to reduce its otherwise adverse environmental impact. And that’s the key reason for which Citrus Sign Studio was called by Osceola County Schools to LED retrofit their existing pylon sign together with some other jobs.

Project Execution
When Citrus Sign Studio was tasked to serve Osceola County Schools in their LED retrofit program for one of their existing pylon signs, we were determined to do the job with utmost precision in order to produce the final result perfectly aligned with their intricate and rich history.
First of all, we removed all the existing lamps from the cabinet. Then we installed the brackets required to support those lightweight rails to which we planned to attach the LED modules. Next, we wired in the power supplies required to run the power modules.
The next part of our job was to increase the number of panels in the pylon sign. Osceola County Schools wanted to go from five to seven panels in order to accommodate some new exterior signage. First, we removed all the existing sign faces, reworked them and finally added two more high-impact sign faces while matching the existing aesthetics of the pylon sign.
The job was completed successfully and was as per the expectations of the client. And now the pylon sign can be observed standing tall, both in the day and at night, showcasing the rich history of Osceola County Schools.
