Though most people may think of exterior business signage as a potent tool for highlighting the products and services a business offers, it can do a lot more. For one, building brand recognition is a task that can be done successfully via creative and well-planned exterior signage. When it comes to the US Army, exterior signage can not only help in branding but even entice eligible candidates to enroll in the Army, either to serve full-time or part-time. By using strategically placed window graphics, it’s also possible to encourage young men and women to start their career in the Army. It was a blend of all these objectives that the US Army wanted to achieve through its exterior signage project, which we delivered.
The client – the US Army
Serving as a soldier in the US Army brings an unmatched honor one’s way. Apart from the challenge of a lifetime and the respect of an entire nation, a soldier also gets several other benefits (such as competitive salary, education, leadership skills, healthcare, etc.) by taking up a career in the army. Apart from taking up active duty to serve full time, you may even enlist into the Army Reserve (to serve part-time while retaining your civilian career), join the Army National Guard (to stay near your home and protect your community), or enlist as Army civilians (who perform mission-critical support roles, thus helping free up soldiers, who can focus on their missions). As the US Army was building out a new recruitment career center in East Orlando, they needed different signs (exterior signage, window graphics, etc.) to make their new office stand out from the crowd and get more warriors to enroll into their ranks. And they entrusted us at Citrus Sign Studio with the job.
Project execution
With 50 feet of window graphics, which were placed strategically and featured various facets of army life, we helped our client’s branding and made sure eligible candidates got encouraged to step inside this new recruitment career center in East Orlando to know more about the available career options.
We also designed and installed the brand new exterior signage at the front that featured the words ‘Army Career Center’ in bold (all capitals), raised lettering along with the US Army’s name and logo on the side. Since we used light panels underneath, the lit sign was easy to spot even in the dark and from a distance.
With our blade signs, we ensured that they were able to grab the attention of onlookers, thus helping the US Army in its branding endeavors.
The US Army needed elite soldiers to enroll in its programs and we designed our exterior signage, blade sign, and window graphics to help it achieve its goal.
