When it comes to the range of business signage, it’s limited only by your budget and imagination. You’ll find different types of signs with varying costs that can fit perfectly into your overall marketing strategy. When it comes to exterior signage, it’ll not only act as key branding for your business to the outside world but even help your potential customers in finding your location. Interior signs are equally important as they help your customers navigate your store and make buying decisions. Sometimes, such signs may even assist you in staying on the right side of the law. When the Invicta Watch Group decided to expand its business to a new location in Vineland Premium Outlets, it needed exterior signage along with some other signs (both indoor and outdoor). The objective was to create these signs in such a way that they would help in the company’s branding and make its presence felt among other stores in the outdoor outlet mall. And this project came to us at Citrus Sign Studio.
Client – The Invicta Watch Group
Invicta stands for ‘Invincible’ in Latin. The company is driven by innovation and nurtured with consistent quality and brand personality. The company started its journey a century ago in 1837 in Chiasso (Switzerland) with the belief that superlatively crafted timepieces can be sold at modest rates. This objective of Invicta holds true even today. Though Invicta originally crafted mechanical and automatic timepieces, it all but disappeared during the 1970’s quartz movement like most other brands of that time. However, it was re-established in the early 1990s. Since then, it has been continuing its brazen journey. From skeletonized movements to outstanding construction to a unique gold layering technique, Invicta takes pride in being one of the most technically capable watchmakers in today’s age. Today, the Invicta Watch Group encompasses more than 30 diverse collections. When the Invicta Watch Group was moving to Vineland Premium Outlets, the company’s new store needed new interior and exterior signage (illuminated) along with blade signs. They entrusted to job to Citrus Sign Studio.
Project execution
When creating exterior signage for Invicta, we used raised lettering in bold capitals with the ‘V’ having a special curved overhead extension (just as it’s displayed on the company’s website) that emphasized the brand’s ‘Invincible’ element.
Similar interior signage was also designed by our experts. Both the interior and exterior signage was designed to be illuminated.
The company also needed a non-illuminated blade sign that would be placed perpendicular to the building, thus creating a high-visibility sign for pedestrians. For it, we used the Invicta lettering atop which sat the company’s logo of expanded wings featuring the Swiss cross at the center. Below the company’s name, the tagline ‘Invincible in detail since 1837’ was displayed prominently to draw attention to the company’s rich legacy. As our client wanted the signs to help its branding, they were designed to match its corporate personality.
We also created signage for its TechnoMarine watches.
Once all the signs were crafted, our experienced installers took charge and got them installed quickly. While the illuminated exterior signage was visible from afar, the illuminated interior signage was just right to improve the visitors’ perception of the company. The blade sign helped the company personalize the building with its brand, logo, and business name. Thus, with the exterior signage and other signs, we delivered just what Invicta was looking for at its new location.
